Introduction
Open Source Quest (OSQ) 2026 is a mentor-guided open-source contribution program designed to help students gain real-world experience in collaborative software development. Participants work on real GitHub repositories, follow industry-standard workflows, and learn how open-source communities function in practice.
OSQ emphasizes learning through contribution rather than competition. Contributors are encouraged to explore repositories, communicate clearly, and collaborate responsibly while building skills that are highly relevant to industry and open-source communities.
